Interesting use of the definite article - the indefinite would surely be more appropriate, not that it's any of our business.

Reading Unsworth's confessions of where she nicks her chapter titles and character names from reminds me that of arguably more interest for literature fans is Justin Evans' gothic ghost story, "The White Devil" which was published last year to very positive reviews.
The tale revolves around the protagonist "Andrew Taylor" (a seventeen year old American) who is sent to Harrow School after drug involvement at a prvious school. Coincidentally, Evans is an American FP of Harrow albeit over a decade after our own Andrew Taylor is said to have left said establishment to resume his educational career in the state sector.
All mere coincidence, I'm sure ...

I guess lyrically "I've slept with some of the girls in Norfolk" doesn't have the same ring "I've slept with all the girls in Berlin". Just finished reading Weirdo - her book The Singer was the best fiction novel I've read in years I was really looking forward to it. Weirdo isn't quite in the same league, but its a fine read nevertheless, with plenty of Sisters/NMA references in there for the more trainspotter-esque of those out there.
