And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. Ha ha, oh Eldritch wins that one without breaking a sweat! Seriously, the guy is 20 years past his prime but he still moves between various secret addresses for fear of stalkers. I love the guy, but his self-image is absurd! :)

While I am very, very sympathetic to the point you are making, I must ask: have you ever programmed drums for a band? I have. Honestly, it is probably more time-consuming than those who have not done it realize.

Well, yeah...you have a point. ;) I have in fact done some stuff like that, and it did seem to take forever.
So I guess I'll be happy if by next tour they change half the songs in there, and include some NEW stuff.

Yeah but once they're done they're saved and you can just reuse them any time. It's not as if he needs to spend time programming new drum patterns.

Hardware changes often necessitate reprogramming songs, too. I seem to recall seeing somewhere that Chris is tasked with programming drums nowadays. And wasn't Andreas in charge of that in the VT days?

however they could do Heartland, Some Kind Of Stranger, Black Planet, Gimme Shelter, Possession, Lights, Valentine, Body And Soul, Adrenochrome, Poison Door, Blood Money, Bury Me Deep, Walk Away, Torch, Driven Like The Snow, Nine While Nine, Emma. 16 songs rarely o never performed. Let go that all may not work live, but most will (well all, considering they are occasionally give a go at Good Things) and they could easy give two concerts with a very varied setlist.

Eh, it's fine. I'd like a new record, but I've resigned myself to never getting one. What he's doing now (working for a living) seems perfectly respectable to me. It's not like he's on some deranged reality TV show or something. Again, it's not what I'd prefer. There's something to be said for going it alone, independent, DIY, etc. Of course, there are lots of other bands that have done it and managed to release great records.
