??TOUR?????

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

As is tradition by now, The Sisters announced their touring schedule today, Jan 1.

Apart from the tradition European Summer Festivals (M'era Luna, Eurorock, Rock Werchter, Terremoto, Roskilde, Leeds-Reading, ...), there'll be a one off appearence at Leipzigs Wave und Gotik Treffen Pfingsten and Withby.

It's been a while but in April-May, they'll do a 22 gig tour of the US with special opening act, The Pixies. Starting April 1 in Seattle, WA and ending May 3 in Ft Lauderdale, Fl.

And for the first time ever, they'll do a tour of the Baltic countries, starting in Riga somewhere early December 2004... No specifics yet, but it would be an 8-10 gig thingy!

Hope you'd be pleased!

Errrr, one word in that post reveals it to be a wind-up, beyond any possible doubt. As soon as you read it, you can read the rest of the post as a joke. The word (spelled wrongly, for some reason) is Witby.

It was the bit about The Pixies that sent alarm bells ringing at Chateau B'last.

But in general that joke in the Dominion list was very cruel and naughty - Sisters should start their Baltic tour from Estonia as Depeche who started their '98 tour in my previous home town and the European part of their last tour in my current home town :)

A big confession: in 2000 I was in Wave Gotik Treffen, too
But I didn't look like those gentlemen (?), rather Neo (according to the opinion of some boys from my bus stop ;D ).
And those memories are painful: someone stole 5 Sisters bootlegs from my tent
Now you can ask: why I was so daft and wasn't in M'era Luna in 2000 - I just couldn't find anybody to come with me and a friend of mine was very keen to organize the Treffen trip... Yes, I can't forgive myself that wrong choice :urff:

Well, something more amusing: some more pics of the audience to whom Sisters will play in Treffen

Love those photos!!! I didin't know whether to puke or p*ss meself!

I do however note that on the official site's tours page, the SISTERS - NEWS graphic has mysteriously shrunk to half it's normal size - could this be a precursor to an announcement???
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Ahh, 2004 starts as last year finished, with us clutching at any straw/nuance/inkling/resized graphic, in the desperate quest for a tour or God forbid, an album!
