Best Kraftwerk Studio Album

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

True. Shouldn't The Mix be in there too? It's full re-recordings of old stuff, not remixes, so it qualifies, no? :)

I don't think either of them are truly great albums but both have their moments and even a mediocre Kraftwerk album will always be better than many bands' best efforts.

(I voted for Man Machine, by the way, although, as I said on the other thread, Trans-Europe Express and Computer World are probably on a level with that album for me)

I couldn't find the "I have never listened to an entire Kraftwerk" option. Do most Sisters fans have a lot of Kraftwerk in their collection ??

I have two - a yellow-sleeved one and a red-sleeved one. Don't test me on what they are though.

HHHmmmnn, Hom, can you change the poll again please? ;D

I went for Autobahn simply as it's the only Kraftwerk album I've got.

Most of the Sisters fans I know have an extremely varied collection taking in all types of music and don't fit any kind of stereotype. I can't speak for most Sisters fans in general of course.

Do you want the polite answer to that? :innocent:

I've only got the first album and R & F. I have heard Trans Europe Express though.

Are they really Goff enough for this forum? ;D

I have all the Kraftwerk although I am not keen on their pre-Autobahn suff.
I have bootlegs, remixes and even "Trans-Slovenia"
The Sisters aren't goff they are "Industrial" so the similarities are there for all to see.
I voted for "Trans-Europa Express" - see they even try and sing in German just like Eldo.

I've got them all and it's a tie between T.E.E. & M.M.

Let's go for Man Machine for now, the titlesong is just perfect!

Who knows - maybe there's a 'full' version hidden in the vaults! Until then, I found this live version on youtube yesterday which is just breathtaking...

I voted for The Man Machine album, but i think Kraftwerk's best track is Radio-activity.
Seen the Kraftwerk Robots tour at the Apollo in Manchester on the Friday 12th July 1991, one of the best gigs I have ever seen.
I go to gigs, and if there is any money left, I eat
