put your leather on on on on

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Ooh. Aah. some very nice painted jackets in this Flickr set, along with some TSOM stuff and punk/post punk memorabilia...

The pic on the Logic one is what I wanted to have. It's such a cool image.
But in the end I settled for the Body Electric sleeve art.
Luckily I was seeing a quite talented artist at the time & she managed to paint it brilliantly.

This is about the only pic I can find of it & it has since been lost along the way, which is a shame, as it was also autographed by Wayne & Craig on the lining when I saw the Mish at the Horsham Champagne's secret gig back in 86.

Cheers.

I've still got my leather that I painted myself (but it probably won't fit any more) I'll have to dig it out and post a picture.

No pictures, but I've still got mine in the closet, with this painted on the back:

Is it ridiculous or sublime? I can't tell anymore. Yes I can: it is ridiculous. Gloriously so.

The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.

Does anyone know where I can get a decent and preferably cheap pair of leather trousers? I have a nice selection of jackets but I need trousers to complete the outift ;)

Fortunately no evidence exists of my only foray into this territory, a not quite perfect attempt to copy Stiff Little Fingers' "number" logo.
