Eureka Machines Pledge

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Would you?

I, for one, will definitely be doing that if it comes up. I really rate their stuff and it's just odd that they are barely getting by... Everyone that I can pester into listening to them thinks they are awesome.

Chris has also done sterling work for TSOM, and opened up at least some sort of avenue of contact with 'fans'. Personally I'd love to see the Eurekas as a regular slot on any Sisters Tours?

I can't claim to speak for Chris at all, but IIRC he has in the past said:
a) that he doesn't want to do a "pledge" for the Eureka Machines
b) that he wants to keep his work with the Sisters as separate as possible from the EM stuff.

Eureka Machines wrote: Eureka Machines are currently thinking about doing our own 'Pledge' campaign. Anyone up for it? It'd be for an album. Any ideas for stuff people want alongside an album? We're talking about handwritten lyrics, signed albums, posters, I dunno. All sorts, really. Let us know what you reck. X

I pledged for the Violets EP, and I'd do so again for the Machines. Top blokes.

Echo mark's comments though, pretty sure Oor Chris plans to keep the Girls and the EMs in separate camps.

I'm in.

Oh and by the way Chris on Formspring re von:

Q to Chris:
Von on EM song? Keep him out of it until you cover The Fall's A lot of wind. I'm serious that song is made for him.

Chris to Punter:
Ha, we're both big Fall fans. Andrew's offered before, and I'd love him to, but unless there was a song that I particularly thought was made for him to sing, then I would find this kind of thing a bit... cringey. Simply getting someone on to get bums on seats isn't really my style. Having said that, now I think about it, there is one song I could definitely hear him on. We'll see.

This thread deserves a bump I think. No particular reason.

Wish Andrew would do a similar thing for a new TSOM album, although what he would actually do with the money could be a different story...

Signed 3 album bundle for £22 seemed like too good a deal to pass up. Pledged.

It's already over 70% of their target.

At this rate they'll have funded the album before bedtime.

The target was hit at 9.30. PledgeMusic stick the counter on 99% until they've charged everyone's cards. That was after 203 pledges and it's now on 263! So expect it to be at about 130% in the morning. :D
