Roger waters is bringing The Wall back to Europe in 2013

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Roger Waters says, “I’m extremely glad to be playing The Wall in Europe again. It’s going to be a lot of fun for all of us. I’ve reworked the show to play outdoors in large stadiums. It’s really good. Even more moving, engaging, dramatic and thrilling than the Arena shows. I’ve had to rethink the whole thing about stadiums. This wide wall stadium show couldn’t have been done 40 years ago. We couldn’t have filled the space in a way that would have been emotionally, musically and theatrically satisfying. Technology has changed. Now we can.
Roger Waters will be talking about the tour via a special web cast on RogerWaters.com and Facebook.com/rogerwaters on Thursday 15th November from 12:30pm UK time, when more dates will be announced.

I think availability won't be a major headache. These venues are massive.

Pricing? Well, yep. It's not going to be cheap. But prolly cheaper than a stones ticket :innocent:

I am curious to see how he plans to fly that plane over Puskas Ferenc stadium crowd & into the wall.
At least at the sports arena he had a roof to hang it from
Cheers.

Ah, I mean availability in time here ;)

Most concerts nowadays are sold out in ten minutes...

not that i'm planning to go, but out o curiosity i checked ticket prices: cheapest (means: somewhere in the back, standing): $80/€59/Ł60, most expensive (VIP): $403/€315/Ł251. It's still not that much as for so called diamond circle for Bon Jovi concert in Pooland ~$500/Ł300.
Sorry but, that a bit ridiculous, for both Waters and Jovi.

I agree it's pricey, but seriously, the show is beyond belief good.
I'll never forget it as long as I live.
Some of what I saw I didn't think was possible & yet it was there right in front of me.
The best tickets will be a way back from the stage (top tip  ) otherwise, you won't see everything.
Remember, you will be looking at a 80m + wide wall with the most amazing projections you'll ever see on it for a good two thirds of it.
This is one where you DO NOT want to be at the front. :D
Cheers.

So it's not unlike a modern age Sisters concert, but with different reasons.
