The Leeds gigs count as one because they kind of continued over the course of 45 hours. If you know what I mean

I please to think I've seen them some time in the 80ies. If so, that would have been at Luxor in Cologne on November 13th, 1984.
I had intended to see them at Alter Wartesaal in Cologne and Bisquithalle Bonn in 1985, but didn't manage to get there ...
Then again, I think I've seen them earlier somewhere, but hell when and where I have no idea ...
Often it's a Pink Pop Festival in Geleen in the late 70ies that springs to my mind.
One of the bands before The Specials ... but The Sisters of Mercy didn't exist by then ...
The next point in my memory's timeline is the Rock Am Ring Festival in 1987, the one
where Bowie headlined. One of the bands on the second stage ... but hell, at that time The Sisters didn't play tours ... ...
Anyway, the first time I explicitly went to see The Sisters of Mercy play was Saturday, 04 September 1993 - as I had missed them in 1992.
The most recent gig was the Amphi Festival in Cologne this year ... and that was wonderful ... ... and hopefully not the last one ... ...

Philadelphia 1997; traveled from Dallas. They were astounding. It was everything I'd ever hoped it would be, and more.
Dallas, 2006. Muddy sound; a decent enough show, but not great.
The best ever, though? Their 2-night stand at the Maritime Hall in San Francisco on the Event Horizon tour. I also caught 'em in NYC on the Planet Edge tour (Roseland Ballroom, I think?).

From Leeds Poly in 91 to the Dublin Olympia in 2011 with many stops inbetween, but mainly in Leeds.
Best? NEC 92 or Joseph's Well 2005 (for the 'can't believe I'm finally catching them playing in a pub' aspect).

and once or twice between those dates. Like Dave says, the best was probably the Near Meth Experience at the Well.
