Sunday night..

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Sunday nights can be really depressing.
I don't mean depressing in a "Oh no, it's school/work tomorrow" kinda way; I mean really, really sad, frightening and lonely and depressing.
I used to beg my friends to go to the pub with me on Sunday nights, just to avoid sitting at home alone.

Where I live, on Sundays, at about ten o clock (when the local video rental shop closes), the entire populace go to bed. it's really spooky walking about after ten, as you never see anyone else. the air is silent and still...

So Em, if you feel down on a Sunday night, I recommend a spooky night walk. always cheers me up. But then I am a bit strange.

BS, you are so, so right.... :( :( :(
i went for a walk on the darkness site and that was enough, last night.. bit more fun today though.
not sure how mr strange would take to me popping out alone.. used to do it before i met him though. and after, before we moved in together. which was all of about 2 weeks!

When people call me BS I always take offense for a second, before I realise that it stands for my user name.

Spookily, as I write this, 'Lazy Sunday' by the small faces is playing on radio 2.

Seems like "Gloomy Sunday" would be more appropriate for you two :P

I consider Gloomy Sunday to be a cheery, uplifting song.
I'm having it played at my wedding.

You could always try, Jethro Tull - My Sunday Feeling, if it's a bloodbath you're after.
"And when you start to think about death, you start to think about what's after it. And then you start hoping there is a God. For me, it's a frightening thought to go nowhere".

i wish i still could just wander off into the dark on my own for a walk, but i suspect a major police search would be instigated...
even the local shop is too close for a proper think. *sigh*

I hear that local shops can be very dangerous, particularly up north.

i'm in NORWICH. its a gentle kind of place. mostly. how did i end up here then?
sometimes, i just want to be properly alone. not just in the bath, or surfing.
its what i go to glastonbury for. to be alone and unknown.

One of my best friends stays in Norwich, Poringland (sp?) to be exact. He escapes to London whenever he can.
