Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I wouldn't remortgage the house to buy the super duper cosmic bop answer to all the questions of the universe set with the extra song on eight track and the note signed by his Mum. But I might get round to buying the CD sometime.

You're giving him just another excuse and try to answer yourself why there never gonna be new album (BTW I'm also not buying idea of „they gonna steal that from the Net anyway, so we're not gonna get anything/it will not covers expenses/gives us profit.) Because to me what going of here for last few years it's nothing more than sticking to the past, all that neverending best of tour, with few 'new' songs (10+ yrs old, but unreleased) and very few newer songs. Red herring, I say, it's all red herring. It's a joke, it's a schmuck.

It's not what I'd call strong.
It has the feel of a b-side about it. An abandoned experiment that you quite like but not good enough for the actual album - although that's obviously not what they think :lol:

Not having English as first language helps to enjoy the music/atmosphere as it is. I haven't really paid attention to the lyrics I have to say...

I think the new album is wonderfull and to me it's the best Bad Seeds record in a long time. Because of my work I have an advanced listening copy and I'm really looking forward to get it on vinyl when it's released in february...

Special event to mark the release of Push The Sky Away.

The band will present the new album live, accompanied by strings & choir at one-off shows in London, Paris, Berlin & Los Angeles. The evening also includes an exclusive screening of a new short film about the making of Push The Sky Away by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard.
I managed to get tickets for the London show, very excited now :D

Just got back from this. Little bit tired :innocent:

To see that venue again was great, with the Sacre Coeur very nearby (oh the memories)...
this time we had a nice seat on the balcony and that was perfect for this kind of show.
First they played the whole new album as it is. WOW :notworthy:
And then some more of the olde classics with Jack The Ripper and Stagger Lee as highlights. What an energy, what a sound & what a performance...

Thomas Wydler was ill, so the bad seeds are joined on this minitour by a former member: none other than the mighty Barry Adamson!
Then a kids choir and a 4 piece string section. The stage seemed very small compared to the time The Sisters were there :wink:
