What would be your choice...

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

6 1/2 year bump... just heard Johathan Richmann's 'Roadrunner' and immediately thought it would've sat perfectly in a live set alongside Sister Ray and Ghostrider.

I refer the honourable questioner to my original answer to this question (provided in my first ever post on Heartland, back in 2004):

Some great suggestions on this thread -Strict Machine, How Soon Is Now :notworthy: but after the cover of Comfortably Numb, I always thought :von: could have done a fantastic cover of the slightly proggy Old and Wise, the no. 74 UK hit from 1982 (and current funeral favourite) by The Alan Parsons Project.

"King of Rock and Roll" by Prefab Sprout. I actually suggested that to Chris Catalyst and he wasn't impressed.
"Drive" by REM would be very good.
"Hey Hey My My" by Neil Young & Crazy Horse too.

Yeah ! :notworthy: A glammed up version with Catalyst on backing vocals would rock... if the band still had live bass. I was listening to some old stuff today and would also love to hear :von: 's take on The Passions' I'm in love with a German filmstar ..

(how does it feels) In my arms - K. Minogue
played straight after "Arms" it would give this song an extra/other dimension.

Other ideas :
- Twilight zone - Golden Earring (starting with the splendid opening "it's 2 a.m. and the fear is gone ..."

- Sisters are doin' it for themselves - Eurythmics
- Drive - REM
- Midnight Man - Sandra (sung as "I'm your midnight man" of course :) )
