I thought that was quite good
I wouldn't remortgage the house to buy the super duper cosmic bop answer to all the questions of the universe set with the extra song on eight track and the note signed by his Mum. But I might get round to buying the CD sometime.

Come f**king on, Bhoy and Ghirls! Are You serious?!
Of course (even) here is relatively not small group of ppl whinig about the only true TSOM from '82-'84. But, if you think about this bit longer, you'll figure out that TSOM were always about not giving rats ass about what, so~called, fan base will say; singles era, then 'commercial' 'succes' of TOL, after that B&S, FALAA, and then something that was so different, that was not really like those mentioned before- Floodland, and after that?! VT. How the hell that fits to some people whinig about past or crying about old days and give a f**k of what they('ll) say?!
You're giving him just another excuse and try to answer yourself why there never gonna be new album (BTW I'm also not buying idea of „they gonna steal that from the Net anyway, so we're not gonna get anything/it will not covers expenses/gives us profit.) Because to me what going of here for last few years it's nothing more than sticking to the past, all that neverending best of tour, with few 'new' songs (10+ yrs old, but unreleased) and very few newer songs. Red herring, I say, it's all red herring. It's a joke, it's a schmuck.

I like the sound textures and initial atmosphere. It's different from the previous stuff without being a huge departure, but lyrically...?radiojamaica wrote:try a new song here:

It's not what I'd call strong.
It has the feel of a b-side about it. An abandoned experiment that you quite like but not good enough for the actual album - although that's obviously not what they think

Not having English as first language helps to enjoy the music/atmosphere as it is. I haven't really paid attention to the lyrics I have to say...bangles wrote:I like the sound textures and initial atmosphere. Good call. Bine's away this weekend so I had a Badseedsathon last night and that was the album that stood out. After Murder Ballads, of course. I like my swear words aplenty.markfiend wrote: IMO the last great Bad Seeds album was probably Henry's Dream

I think the new album is wonderfull and to me it's the best Bad Seeds record in a long time. Because of my work I have an advanced listening copy and I'm really looking forward to get it on vinyl when it's released in february...

well it looks that it's not gonna be Grinderman 3.0, but it still doesn't sounds bad.

I hope he will be around a bit closer to home soon. Still a rumour for Pinkpop so fingers crossed.
Meanwhile I very much enjoy the first two songs of the album!

I guess it just a matter of time for some festival gigs in the Lowlands to be announced... we'll see.
If you like the first 2 songs, then you'll love the whole album. I'm sure of that

Just got back from this. Little bit tiredOzpat wrote: Do let us know how Paris was! Setlist, pics...and all that! Have fun!
To see that venue again was great, with the Sacre Coeur very nearby (oh the memories)...
this time we had a nice seat on the balcony and that was perfect for this kind of show.
First they played the whole new album as it is. WOW
And then some more of the olde classics with Jack The Ripper and Stagger Lee as highlights. What an energy, what a sound & what a performance...
Thomas Wydler was ill, so the bad seeds are joined on this minitour by a former member: none other than the mighty Barry Adamson!
Then a kids choir and a 4 piece string section. The stage seemed very small compared to the time The Sisters were there
