Untitled FALAA demo?!

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I saw it mentioned in an old thread: http://www.myheartland.co.uk/viewtopic. ... 22f3a6ea11

What's this all about? Other threads about the WEA mixes don't seem to speak of it. Is it one we all know already? If not, anyone have it?

It's that Driver instrumental isn't it. :(

I don't recall the WEA mixes having an unknown demo on it.

:?:
Cheers.

My copy just has the 17 mixes of FALAA tracks listed in the link above. No instrumental, untitled or otherwise.

Off the top of my head (and therefore not necessarily reliable), unreleased instrumentals from that era include Driver and Where Spirits Fly but neither are included in the WEA tapes and neither is anything else that isn't just a different mix of one of the released album tracks.
Any more of that and we'll be round your front door with the quick-setting whitewash and the shaved monkey.

It exists and is not Driver, then? If you have the time (and the record), could you post it here?

Could that be the untitled Floodland-era instrumental demo?

Brilliant, thanks for uploading it! There's always a little special feeling to listening to lost recordings like this.

It's a bit like a jam over the phantom beat with the whammy bar guitar they rented for the album, maybe?

Agreed. They were just playing around with making impressions ... not even a demo, I guess. Just recorded to check and see ...

Nonetheless interesting ... ;D ...
