Suede - Barriers (New Song Free Download)

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

That's pretty much what I thought at first but it has slowly grown on me - there's something very mid-80s about the drums and the chorus that works.

But I really like the new Atoms For Peace track that got played during the week,

Hmm, the Prince one really sounds like a Musicology outtake..

Seconded on the 80's Suede sound!

It sounds very U2. Guitar and drums sound like Ledge 'n' Larry and even Bert succums at the end - i can just imagine the "oh-oh-ho-oh" 's ringing around a stadium as bobo anthe boys leave the stage.

Funny thing, i really like it as a song, but as a Swide song, i'm not so sure...

Just gave the new Suede song a listen. Really impressed compared to the last batch of stuff they released. Very promising, indeed.
But my main point was to thank JansenClone for posting it in the first place. I've been rather out of the loop as far as newer music goes lately. Heard rumours of a new album, but didn't know anything was out there yet.
Much appreciated, Jansen.
You're very welcome. They're a friendly bunch round here, enjoy!
