question about artwork

Unknown songs and demos, who wrote what, who sang what, the usual biographies, discography gubbins, photos of Eldritch with no sunglasses, etc, etc, etc, yadda, yadda, yadda....

I am looking for any reliable information about the FaLaA artwork. Who is the author, how it was created. Plz only proof link.

Something at the back of my mind says it's based on an ancient japanese design but I can't remember where I got that or produce any evidence so take it with a pinch of salt.
Any more of that and we'll be round your front door with the quick-setting whitewash and the shaved monkey.
