Anybody into Lana Del Rey?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Oh dear. this was obviously the wrong place to enquire if anybody was into Lana Del Rey's stuff.
I really didn't expect such negativity. It's so depressing.
If afraid that wannabe intellectual, politically obsessed, cerebral types bring out the worst in me.

However, thanks to the contributors to this thread who replied with a more mature, less narcissistic attitude and appropriate manner.

I hate politics, actually; I won't apologize for being a "cerebral type" and living in my head (I like it in here, they know me! ;)). Not really a choice, as I'm Mensa and Aspie. Go figure... ;D

I'll stand up and be counted.
I like her music, if it's manufactured or not.
I also think she's fit. ;D

I like some of her stuff. Hell, I really like some of it in an unashamedly guilty pleasure style!

Cerebral narcissism or not! Hey, that'd be an awesome band name.

Regards Ms Del Rey ... oh no, thanks. Just can't stand that sort of (however elaborated) softness ...

Suggestions for a Lana Del Rey Vs Sisters Mashup?
For what it's worth, I really like Lana Del Rey & the album was one of my favs from last year...

As for mash-ups themselves - a little less so. They are a tricky breed, intelligently & skillfully executed, they can be amazing and transcend both of the originals to exist on it's own (most of the 2 Many Dj's mixes). On the other hand when clumsily executed, or done just for the sake of juxtaposing extremities, they can be less so.

This one though is a definitely in the former.
