Juliet Naked - Nick Hornby

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Anyone read this book? It's about a musician who hasn't released anything for 20 years, but has a legion of obsessive fans; then out of the blue an acoustic version of his greatest LP is released, and he breaks his silence... might be an interesting read for the Heartlanders.

It's a very good book - would make a good film as well I think.

Yup, read it a while ago. Typical Hornby though. Reads like a train and then it's gone... I enjoyed it :)

I read this a while back too. IIRC the "new album" turns out to be early demos for the original cult classics. You couldn't make it up...

The whole thing sounds rather far fetched to me (smiley face)
