What free email addresses are currently allowed?

For you to give feedback to the Heartland moderators. Wish lists, fault reports, etc. You may get an answer, you may not. As in all things, it largely depends on how nicely you ask the people in charge... You're welcome.

Just been looking at my profile and I noticed the email address I've got registered is about 5 years out of date.

I tried updating it to one that I am currently using, but it appears that hotmail, gmail and yahoo.co.uk are all banned. I guess it's only likely to be an issue if I forget my Heartland password and need to recover it; if I set up a new email account somewhere just for my Heartland registration, it's much more likely that I'll forget the password for that and never check it anyway.

Get in touch with QuiffBoy and ask if he can edit your mail adress to your current one via Admin Panel - should be possible even if the service is on the blacklist and not possble to edit on your end.

Mail is indeed just important for initial registration but also useful to receive notifications about new PMs, subscribes topics and whatsoever.

as a rule a lot of the less secure free email addresses such as hotmail, gmail and yahoo are blocked for new registrations, or changes to existing user accounts.

however, as doc says, drop me a private message on here with the details you want changing and i'll sort it... i have no issue with "real" people needing to use hotmail, gmail etc... just new users who could be spammers ;)
