New World Order

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

It's one of the best things I've ever written, but you can prepare yor complaints now: I shouldn't need to use a saxophone, and I really shouldn't be selling out to the huge market for ten-minute saxophone solos. I knew it was wrong, but I couldn't resist, and I'll be very grateful to you for pointing out the error of my ways... Rest assured that "New World Order" is yet another of those things which will probably not be coming out as a Sisters record.
As a hard-working sycophantic Von enabler, I feel very indignant about this statement.

i suspect this was another of von's interview curveballs: deliberately trying to mislead and confuse.

i'd be very surprised if this "track" was anything more than a "saxophone" synth patch and a set of cubase patterns von put together in his bedroom one day.

I tried to find it some time ago, no luck online. But maybe there is a tape out there.

There's an issue of UTR where he mentioned having composed piano instrumentals, and how he got in a fight with a hotel musician when he tried to play one on the guy's piano. I don't get the impression that he was kidding about it.

Then in Glasperlenspiel he says there is "loads" of new stuff that hasn't been played because he doesn't think it's suitable for the live show.

There is always a tape out there waiting to be discovered ;D
And there is one potential suspect that has this on tape well known with the icon :von:

This reminds me of the scenario of a film called "Fan Boys"

"A little patience" ? Is twenty years not enough ? If all the unrecorded stuff unsuitable for the Sisters is of SSV standard, probably best to keep it in the sock drawer
