It's been a long time since I got my last copy of "Sounds" and it will be even longer before the next one comes out so I shall step forward and try my best to review the Marching Men at Beeston.
They certainly looked the part. Obviously the emphasis was on "Eldritch" who short of making himself shorter would certainly pass a first inspection. The other Men too had made an effort
and that all added to the effect.
The sound was jolly good. There was a rawness (I mean this in a good way) that came through that I really liked - it gave the songs an extra edge. Similar to early Sisters bootlegs.
This is where I press my Random Superlative Generator and let it run for half an hour. But seeing as I haven't got one. Suffice to say excellent band, excellent night out - highly recommended.
If I may make an observation (this is where he sticks the knife in) I'm sure you have considered this but at this type of event you are going to get the uber-fan (shouldn't that have been a major 7th?) to the very casual observer who knows little about The Sisters (Is that Slash on the bass?). I thought the set list was wonderful but for those that have come more for a drink and a chat - less TSOM TSOM Club and more talking heads the inclusion of the boppier and more known side of The Sisters eg Jolene & Temple Of Love would go down better

I also meant to say at the start how wonderful to meet people and put faces to names.

Thankyou man!
The truth is we do pitch the sound more to hardcore veterans like yourself, so we are neglecting the casual gig-going fan somewhat. However, as it still is early days we can expand the live load-out with more familiar tracks. Consider it taken onboard!
Glad to see you there, and as you say - good to put names to faces. Remember discussing The Flowerpot in Derby as well, it is under consideration!

Many great names have played The Flowerpot either on their way up to even better things or on their way down re-living past glories.
So you will be treading where where some of rock 'n' roll's finest have trod, also Wayne played there on his solo tour in 2003
