Songs at least as good as War on Drugs, in the same way.

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

I'll start with Captain Apache - nice contemporary irony and sung by none other than Lee Van Cleef himself:

Think US foreign policy and a helicopter gunship.

Thanks dude. I don't post here often - mainly due to running my own site www.outpost31.com and forums http://thethingfan.fr.yuku.com/ (plug plug!)

That said, War in Drugs is, by far, my favourite of the currently unreleased Sisters songs. It is a profoundly nasty Western theme, in my view. It's one of the greatest songs ever written.

Although, I've as of yet heard a good enough quality WOD to judge

War On Drugs, T. ... ... but yeah, I love it, too.

It's The Sisters at their best - and nobody in the world could ever sing it like Andrew ...

Btw, your www.outpost31.com and forums http://thethingfan.fr.yuku.com/ have become an institution, really ... great! :D :notworthy: ...

I was waiting for the tempo change!

That said, I love, ahem LOVE War On Drugs. Ask that tribute band to do it.

There's a Sisters tribute band? When did that happen? :innocent:
I don't necessarily agree with everything I think.

(I wanted to suggest it as being similar musically rather than thematically, but come to think of it...)

Well, if their singer thinks he can manage, we're prepared for anything ... () : - )
