Tracks you skip or "The 1959 Effect"

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Only half of Black Tie still does it for me but I wouldnt skip those two, theyre not classics but are ok.

Everything on Station still blows me away, amazing album :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

I rarely actually listen to Sisters though, any more than 1 or 2 tunes and I feel a bit overdosed :(

Wash your mouth out Guv, BWSM is a classic. Infact The Cult played fair with Love, by kindly sticking the only duff track in the final slot. I love everything on the album except Black Angel which is a stinker. I've never understood why it made the final cut when so many great Cult songs were used as b Sides in 1985?

And especially...........the god awful reworking of Garden of Delight on Gods Own Medicine.

whilst on the subject of New Order I'm afraid its Regret off Republic, it serves as a permanent reminder of seeing Peter Hook strutting about in a pair of tight speedos whilst he/the band were recording this album up the road from me...a sight you would not want to see :eek:

I usually skip tracks 1 to 4 (call it the A-side if you will) of The KLF's White Room album. Those are the singles that were played so much everywhere and are just so bombastic. Just like This Corrosion actually. One of the very few Sisters songs I skip sometimes.

"Arabian Knights" on JuJu just because I've heard it too often, "New Morning" on Tender Prey because it's a bit cheesy, there are quite a lot now you mention it...

I have been giving this some thought and I don't really skip tracks
There are obviously tracks I like less but I don't sit there with the remote ready to zap them and move on to the next one.
I think it is a leftover from the analogue age I tend to just put the disc on and let it play.
Sometimes I'll select a few 'faves' if the disc is new and I don't know many of them or a compilation or I don't have much time but that's about it.
Well you must know something
