She Looks Good In...Simpsons!

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Saw a brand new Simpsons episode yesterday - entitled Love Is A Many-Splintered Thing!

Possibly a closet Old Goth on the staff of the most famous cartoon in the world?

NB: I also considered DOH-minion for the Subject Line.

Doh-minion would have been better. :innocent:

Was there any subtext to the story line that hinted at a Sisters related theme?

I don't think this has anything to do with the Sisters. Turning "many-splendoured thing" into "many-splintered thing" doesn't take a big stretch of the mind.

I even seem to recall Lisa Douglas doing the same thing in the 60s sitcom Green Acres.

Mm, the background certainly implies that the inspiration came from Splendor.

There were no Sisters references in the episode either, sadly.

Just a hopeful fool fishing in pop culture!

Simpsons titles often have nothing to do with the episode except for a tenuously linked pun.
