The all new 'Who's Going Where and When' thread

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

How was it? :P
I thought it was great!
Last time I saw them they played around the 120 db mark or so and you can imagine that that noise was so much to handle that you couldn't even hear anything else but noise (no voices, no subtility). It was more like an event, but had little to do with the music.
This time around we've got pretty severe db limits forced by law. A thing MBV really didn't like and we'll probably don't see them again in Belgium anytime soon. But, playing around the 100db level, did help to open up the sound. Belinda & Kevin's voices were audible, as was the bass, synth & guitars... I recognised almost every song  Their final noise-a-thon was much shorter as usual, but for the rest it was a very decent gig.
It sounds similar to the Manchester gig earlier this year. The volume did seem to get louder towards the end....painfully so.

I was too busy being transfixed by Bilinda to notice the volume most of the time. :P Be still my beating heart.

We are meant to be going to this:

...but since my lovely doggy died a few weeks ago we are now not so sure, as our other doggy has gone all sad and mopey.

We ARE going to this next year:

...so that is all that is on our dance card at the minute.

Judging by the teasers for the new album, Numan should be fantastic ... Whereas a whole evening of Savages might be a bit of an ordeal.

I'm not visiting Dawnrazor no more, but 4 dates is out of the question anyway. I might go to Köln if the practical side of things works out...

Man, that 808 State gig was just mental! Incredible stuff...
I wasn't expecting to see a full band at all, more like 2 old geezers on a laptop or so...
They gave acidhouse and breakbeat stuff a good kickin' and showed that acts like The Prodigy & all can just pack their things and go home!

Top Nite Out it was :D

Wire tonight; never really been a fan of their electronic stuff on disk so let's see if I "get it" live.

If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Michael I would say "Their latest album's great so you'll really enjoy it". But, they're renowned for playing live sets of all new material. I saw them back in the 80s and they didn't play one song I recognised.
