He's not named as one of the Chorus of vengeance on the Gift sleeve.

He is mentioned in the Floodland thanks. As I've posted in various threads discussing who did what on that album, those thanks seem to be grouped into two separate lists - first the friends etc and second the people who actually performed on the album. Carl's in the first list. I reckon that if he'd actually played on the album he'd be in the second list. But, as the wiki says, he was one of the guys who mimed in various TV appearances. (I can't verify this cos I don't know him from Adam but I think others here have.)
Any more of that and we'll be round your front door with the quick-setting whitewash and the shaved monkey.

I think the two of you are talking at cross-purposes :)

The idiom in English "I don't know him from Adam" means (roughly) "I've no idea who he is". I think the Adam concerned is the one from the book of Genesis, not Adam Peason ;)

Yes, my first thought was that Being645 wasn't aware of the idiom but then I thought that maybe it was a joke.

:D ... thank you, stufarq. Unfortunately, my English doesn't ... last that long. But I'm constantly learning ... :lol: ...

This is, btw, one reason why I steadily wish, that more people
and some of them with a higher command of English (culture)
were able to add knowledge and lingual beauty to the SistersWiki ... *sigh
