+Angels of light - Angels of light. mantra song. very calming, relaxing.
+ Brian Eno - and ending ascent it's simply magnificent, majesty song.
+Starlings- Out of the woods. recently it's one of my favorite song. very catch. it fits to beaches (and festivals).

that's songs that i would choose for sure.

another two books. Frankly i would chose something practical, like basic of engineering, know your enemies: what to eat and what to avoid.

Now this was tedious. 80 tracks would have been difficult, so 8 is ridiculous. There are so many other indispensable music pieces, that in the end I erased most of the other tracks I had selected just at random to bring it down to 8.
Anyway these tracks affect me deeply every time I listen to them, which is a good enough reason to take them with me.

BOOKS:
Margrave Of The Marshes/The Olivetti Chronicles by John Peel - I didn't know about this until Andie mentioned it in her post earlier. Sounds like something I would love. More than the bible anyway. And I mean, that's John Peel. Can't go wrong with this choice.
Black Coffee Blues by Henry Rollins - I last read it about 20 years ago, but at the time I thought that he managed to say so much in just a few lines, so this should keep me busy if I don't read too much at a time.

LUXURY ITEM:
A drum kit and a few pairs of sticks - I still have so much to learn that I would never get bored with nothing to do. And I would finally have a place where to play at any time of the day and the night!

The Chair She Sat in, Like A Burnished Throne - The Ruby Kid ~ A quarter century with nothing to show for it but the poetry / I am not building a legacy / Well what are you building anyway? A fellow traveller on the UK Left, if the wrong bit of it. Could have been many different tracks, but it's this one.

Melody Dean - Amanda Palmer ~ Can't tell if it's articulating my awkward navigation of unorthodox relationship structures, or presenting an horrendous erasure of women's bisexuality as illegitimate. Frankly don't give a consensually non-monogamous f**k.

True Trans Soul Rebel - Against Me! ~ Because f**k it, it says transsexual in a loving voice on a major label. It was Baby I'm An Anarchist (in the face of solidarity as a four letter word) that first spoke to me, but this is the one I'm taking with me.

To close:
There Is A Light... - The Smiths ~ The song to end a gig. Kicks seven shades of shiva out of Vision Thing or Temple of Love in that respect, even when performed by hired hands in ever smaller venues. Erm. And Marr's resurrection of it puts Morrisey's to shame. Not that I've experienced the latter live. Not that I'd want to experience the latter live.

And the misfit:
Who Killed Mr Moonlight? - Bauhaus ~ Couldn't not include it. Couldn't find a proper place for it in the above Running Order Squabblefest. So here it is. After the close.

On reflection, a compilation of sex, sexuality, and aspiration. To be listened to in order. Fully referenced, save (coincidentally) the last three. YouTube won't do them justice, it just seems wrong.

My concentration is shot, and has been for the past few years, so I wouldn't know where to begin with books. An empty one and a biro, if you're feeling generous.

As for luxuries, a stopwatch would be excellent. The passage of time doesn't bother me on a macro level, but something to time my thoughts by (and my meditative attempts to repair that concentration enough to make it through Shakespeare) would be invaluable.
