Latest Sisters purchase

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Anyway, your picture is much better than the one in the Wiki ... :D ...

I received my copy of the Land Of The Kings lp today.

I agree to Paul, it looks very similar to the recent Aussie releases

I got mine also. Giving it a listen. The intro to Emma is messed up and Floorshow cuts out before the end. Overall tho very good quality. Love the banter between AE and the crowd.

Thanx, Taylor, looking at the second pic I'm sure it is Aussie.

This is from his private mailing about the record:

I HAVE THIS ULTRA RARE JAPANESE ONLY THE SISTERS OF MERCY LP EXTREMELY LIMITED, I HAVE MANAGED TO GET MY HANDS ON A HANDFUL OF COPIES FOR PRIVATE SALE.

Yeah right :urff: :urff: :urff:

As a collector I don't allow any Greek or Aussie stuff to my collection anymore. Asking ridiculous prices is one thing, lying at people is not cool.

Btw, did you people know the Aussie is a member of the band Ikon? (no sh*t!)

There's a surprise , that band define 'run of the mill, featureless terrible goth/post-punk' .

You're right re this, I knew that for quite some time. What ever you think re the Aussie stuff, I would still differentiate from the Greek items IMO ...

Yeah, me too, but I thought it was the right time to share this nice little peace of info ;-)

And then the connection between the Greek and Aussie ...

I should imagine it's the same source that is in general circulation, might have even been shared on here at some point

To revive this thread, some purchases I made in the last weeks:

- Doctor Jeep 12" The Exchange test pressing
- Live in Heidelberg lp in gold gatefold cover, only few copies with gatefold sleeve
- The Final Floorshow lp ltd. 30 with black (also called negative) insert cover

Primary PY-715 (bootleg) single for [The] Damage Done / Watch.

From a small dirty record/junk shop near Denver Colorado.
Misfiled in the "Metal" section. LOL!!

Apparently the same bloke also sold his FotN Earth Inferno vinyl in the same go... also snaffled for cheap.
