Live : New model army 30/11/13

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Now that's a real treat, watching within 10 days two of my 3 most favourite bands.

The band are almost at the end of their tour to promote their new awesome album " between dog and wolf" which imho is their finest work since "love for the hopeless causes". If you haven't heard it you should give it a try.

On stage they are as good as they always were , full of passion and always enjoying playing live, which is a real achievement as Athens was the 37th gig of the tour and there some dates in Ireland and the uk still left.
Awesome versions of old classics like "here comes the war" and "no rest" which was truly breathtaking, but also the newer ones like "stormclouds" with its thunderous drumming and the acoustic "knievel".

The gig ended with "Green and Grey" amongst a massive applause and cheering.

NMA are on top form so if you have the chance, don't miss them.

ps: i must mention their drummer Michael Dean, a truly awesome musician.

I agree with everything you say.

I saw them in Krakow and then 3 more times in England and they were excellent. Their new album is their best yet and sounds brilliant live.

I love NMA. Unfortunately due to the economy I have been unable to catch their tour this year.

The new album is different - more drum, than guitar based than before. It has good tracks, but I'm not sure if it hangs together as a whole - I found my attention wandering at some point.

Anyway, NMA are a good live band, and I'm sure folk will enjoy them.

I have loved Slime since spending my summers hanging out in Germany, drinking way too much :innocent:

BTW,
I have never seen a bad NMA show, even if some of their records have not hit the spot with me.
