At the World's End

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Well, I've finally watched it & I have to say that my previous dislike of Mr Pegg has gone. I love this film! Sisters references aside I think it's stupidly brilliant. So much so I keep watching it... 8)

Well you might have persuaded me to give it a go then.

It's a really good hour and a half, Mark. Not the greatest tale ever told, but we didn't expect that...

So I eventually got round to watching this 'film'. <cough>
It really was the biggest pile of sh1ite.
I detested Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz, so I should have known better.
No amount of Sisters soundtrack or reference could save this steaming crime of a movie.

I just watched it and i think it's pretty ok movie. Not the greatest but totally works for me.The Sisters reference was a really nice addition. The last scene is totally like i've always imagined a proper Sisters fan should look like in a wasteland post nuclear environment :D

Went to Universal Studios in LA at the weekend (as you do) and was very surprised to see Gary King's full outfit (including the TSOM t shirt) in the wee costume and artefact museum they have down on the lower level next to the awesome a Transformers 3D ride.
Saw the film on the way over and loved the first forty minutes or so until they brought the whole zombie aspect in as usual.

Transformers is the most exhilarating 3D ride I've ever been on. Big queues in the afternoon so get their early. The King Kong 3D bit of the actual Studio Tour is also excellent - left hand side is best !

Shaun of the Dead was great
Hot Fuzz was great
World's End was dire
It was uninspired and the lead character was unlikable and annoying so who cares what happens to him.
Boring. :(

I actually found Shaun horrible, Hot Fuzz ok and World's End stupidly brilliant!

I liked Gary King too!

It may be a long shot but Mr Pegg's on BBC6 Music on Sunday at 1pm BST talking about music that's inspired him & featured in his work.

Could be that a Sisters track may sneak in :D
Cheers.

Shaun of the Dead was on ITV2 the other day and it was a lot better than I remember; I'll look out for World's End in the DVD bargain bins ;)
