play it slowed down after taking a speed bomb - plenty long enough thenbangles wrote: I'd have to disagree - that'd be tampering with perfection. The only thing to change about Afterhours is that it's simply not long enough...!

Despite the lyrics, for me, it's always had a Spaghetti Western mood to it, a dark G*th Western, at midnight on the Tombstone cemetary with dusty black coat, hat and sunglasses, Andrew Morricone.oneiros wrote:Afterhours is one of my favourite Sisters' tracks; it's just so brooding and oppressive, but with a beautiful little hook.

I see Afterhours less Spaghetti western and more Film Noir. Your in the misddle of some of something Chandleresque and Eldritch has got the part of Marlowe - even if isn't tall enough.
Well you must know something

It holds special meaning for me as a bit of a romantic... plus I have a signed copy.
I have always wanted Afterhours to be celebrated for the opus it is, it's a cracker of a tune. It would be tops to hear live, just to get things going.
.....and to quote myself 2 years later....
We got married on Friday night for our 20th anniversary! Body & Soul lyrics basically made up our vows.... and my wedding ring has 'first & last & always' engraved on the inside
