Pandoras Box

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I don't get here often enough. My loss not yours.
Now - I've listened a few times through Jim Steinman's first solo record (loved since i was a kid) and then I found to very great delight that I've got the Pandoras Box record here in my collection - I'm a dealer so I've got a lot of stuff that I wouldn't have ordinarilly bought - but this Pandoras Box record - man I really like it - it's crazy like Whitney Houston meets Peter Cook or sometimes even Peter Sellers sometimes even Peter Pan- wild record - I would not have played it twice were it not for the Steinman/Eldritch connection but I am so glad that I have played it more than twice. I rate it highly. I really like this record...Anyone got an opinion on this disc? I'd like to hear it...(can I just clear my name here and tell you all that no I am no whitney fan...but i love the paradox of Jims humour and the Whitney emoting that is going on in this record) Well - I'd like to hear an opinion from the Heartland all here - my apologies to you all for being so very absent from the forum...It's nothing less than a conscious awareness of my overalcoholic indulgence. x

Great record. It's all coming back to me now much better than the whatshernames version and Good Girls is a classic! :-)

Ah I'm pleased somebody's heard of this record - I was thinking I'd have to make all the replies myself...thanks for making me feel not alone here abridged :) I expected a few 'what!!! Utterly dreadful record' but not NOTHING!! Actually - I expected a link to a place where this has been discussed before - So - I guess Meats first two LPs haven't been talked about here either? Ok I won't mention them. And I especially won't mention how great 'I'm Gonna Love Her For Both of Us' comediacally is. Your loss this time Heartlandus.
Bitter?
Nah - I'm more Vodka. Ach - my love to you all - seriously x
