The Sisters of Murphy at Flock! last night

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Last night's Smurphs gig at Flock! was ace.

But did anyone notice that the most popular songs were the cover versions? Or covers of covers, if you know what I mean.

Jolene was a treat, but highlight of the night was Good Things.

Very authentic. Back in t'early days, 'twas always the covers (Sister Ray, 1969etc) that went down best. There always seemed to be a guy who stood at the back of every gig I went to in Leeds shouting "Play us summat we knerrr".
