Get Bent!
"And when you start to think about death, you start to think about what's after it. And then you start hoping there is a God. For me, it's a frightening thought to go nowhere".

I enjoyed it but I m quite easily pleased! I thought Von was pretty energetic although some of the middle section was a bit mumbley as was his german between song chatter.
There were 3 shopping trolleys full of beer outside being sold I guess before gig - is this normal for berlin?!
Von had collar up on blazer and white flowery looking shirt under that he waved around a bit during dominion. He was smoking, ben had short hair and chris was shaved head, leather jacket and side burns. Crowd seemed into it and something fast was really good. Phone dying now.

Om began to feel the acute depression that steals over every realist in the presence of an optimist.

Ok,not a bad setlist.some of my faves;
Still,Blood Money,When You Don't See Me,
Arms,Kiss..
But nothing new, shocking or strange. They are the Sisters..we love 'm it seems. Now bring on the rest of the tour and some wickedness...
What's with the surf songs anyway!

Gutted that they've dropped Summer. Hopefully it will be back tonight.
Sounds / looks like a standard sisters gig - slow, crap sound and so quiet you can talk louder than the band.

No, to be fair it was actually substandard soundwise (some amp issue), which is a shame because I found them very cool in appearance when they went on stage with More. Logic sounded really f**ked up, for example.jparton wrote:Sounds / looks like a standard sisters gig - slow, crap sound and so quiet you can talk louder than the band.

The higlight of the evening, Valentine, *must* be in the standard setlist, and Kiss the carpet can stay forever, too

I don't think More works live, never mind as an opener.

I think it works well normally, but like any other song with intense backing vocals, you hear those very clearly when they have guitar sound issues...so you hear a lot from Ben and Chris, but not what you would prefer to hearHom_Corleone wrote:I don't think More works live, never mind as an opener.
Looks and sounds great to me.
Particularly like the new lights show. The sparkly star light effect is pretty.

But anyone know what happened during Vision Thing? Von seems pretty pissed off at about the 2:52 mark. Someone with a laser pointer maybe?

Not having been there one doesn't want to appear too judgemental
But from what I've read and seen am I right in assuming :-
White is this seasons black
The merch stand is THE place to go for all your kitchenware needs
The set list was slightly different
The lights were even prettier
The sound was still s**t

So now he smokes e-cigarettes.
It takes a few years and there's only a mannequin doll onstage.

Now, with that light show, Von is not in a position to be pissed about pointing lasers at someone I think!Arrrgh! wrote:But anyone know what happened during Vision Thing? Von seems pretty pissed off at about the 2:52 mark. Someone with a laser pointer maybe?

Von looks more and more like a figure from a bad '50 s SF movie though, a slim version of Tor Johansson as it were
shiny, shiny, shiny boots of leather....
Fair enough.Izzy HaveMercy wrote:Now, with that light show, Von is not in a position to be pissed about pointing lasers at someone I think!Arrrgh! wrote:But anyone know what happened during Vision Thing? Von seems pretty pissed off at about the 2:52 mark. Someone with a laser pointer maybe?

Simon suggested on FB that someone was being a twonk (my word) in the moshpit - more likely trying to stop the moshpitArrrgh! wrote:Looks and sounds great to me.

Goths have feelings too
I’ll see and listen to it with my own eyes and ears tomorrow … I won’t draw any conclusions before that. Especially not negative ones.
You speak as if he had looked absolutely different so far. I think he looks good. He is not fat, he is just as bald as he has been for a thousand years, the only change is that his beard is not black. It is absolutely fine. And congratulations for the e-cigarette (if this is it really), very well done, that he is taking care of his health.

E-smoker has absolutely nothing to do with health. We call it addiction. Man is forbidden to smoke real cigarettes onstage, that's it.
