What happened to the Sharing section? Did I miss something?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I finally dug out an old bootleg tape I bought in the arcade in Leeds in 1985. 1st April 1985, Gary Marx's last gig at the Top Rank in Brighton. I was going to share it. Don't know if it is rare or not but it might be historically interesting. But nowhere to share it!

It's only visible when logged in. Maybe you were looking for it before logging in?

Dur!! Thanks. That was exactly it. By the way, is it a bootleg worth sharing or is it as common as muck?

i don't think it's uncommon -certainly i've got it on cd and cassette- but there's always the possibility of a differnt source...you'd need to talk to the Anorak Division.
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

@eldritch1969: Have you the checked the wiki? There is a picture of a cassette which contains the Brighton 1985 concert. There's also a recording of that gig somewhere in the sharing section, if I remember that correctly

No I hadn't but thanks I have now. It looks very similar except that there really isn't much tape hiss on mine which I ripped straight to FLAC. You know what, stuff it. I'll whack it up and if it's a better version people will like it or not! Here's the wiki entry

Live At The Top Rank
Overview

Another cassette bootleg from The Sisters of Mercy's Tune In... Turn On... Burn Out... Tour in 1985 which ended in June at The Royal Albert Hall.

Recorded live at The Top Rank, Brighton.
Date: 01/04/1985
Quality: According to the tape "Quality Rating: A"
Allegedly, a "Mixing Desk Recording", though there is some crowd noise, and very audible tape hiss throughout.

A few remarks for the Sisters collector:

this was the last gig Gary Marx ever played with the Sisters.
The venue is the same as on the Black October bootleg from the Black October Tour in 1984

Note:
This particular cassette may have been made exclusively by one person,
intended for personal use, and as such, may not be widely available.
However, the bootleg may exist on other media.

that's the spirit- if in doubt get it out. :notworthy:
for 20-odd years i thougt there was only source for the leicester '85 gig; then i came here and now have three distinctly differnt sources -NONE OF WHICH is the fabled "someone getting audibly hit with a chair " source, which is known of from an arcane legend told of by Sir Andrew of S. :von:
