Chameleons Vox

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

...were absolutely fantastic in York tonight. Missed them a few years ago in Manchester, so glad to finally make it.

Played Script of the Bridge right through, dedicated A Person Isn't Safe Anywhere These Days to Sophie Lancaster (though I believe that's been the case for a while?) :notworthy:

Dubious distinction of being the first gig where I've actually heard the words more clearly than on a record I've had for 10 years. Someone needs to slip :von: the number of Mark's sound guy? :innocent:

Luxury Stranger (support) were pretty good, too.

Oh! Lucky you!!! I love them and I missed the gigs here last month. :?
Is that the stuff dreams are made of? ha ha.. it seems so.
Talk to them, talk to someone,
Talk to me, or
Paint it on a wall,
But never stay in silence,
As silence kills.

They were super at Butlins as well. Only The Rezillos and the Damned out performed them. Though Gene Loves Jezebel came close.

jealous as fook. script of the bridge is one of the unsung masterpieces of the last century. i even love the american import (chameleons u.k.) which, although being a few tracks light of it's u.k. counter-part, has "second skin" as the last song on side 2- most awesomely difficult to follow anthem ever.
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

I was in York too for that gig, what a great night, great performance from The Chams.
Thought Autobahn the support were brill too.Sadly I missed Luxury Stranger the first support band.

Had seen Autobahn 3 weeks previously supporting Crispy Ambulance, and knew Autobahn were class. Will be at the Brudenell Sunday to see them both again , can't wait.

Get to Brudenell Sunday Weebs, you will love it.

Me? I'm content knowing Dave Fielding and John Lever are working together and the stuff I've heard from the studio is fabbo...now if they could just get an awesome vocalist...;-)

Quiffy, if you read this I have a couple of ace piccies of Dave playing your old guitar

These guys were brilliant when supporting the Violets at the Brudenell in Leeds a while back. :D

What name are they playing under these days? Would definitely like to listen to anything they've done in the intervening time / put out in the near future.

Good God no  The fab singer is known and currently no longer in a band.

Aims. No name as such. And stuff they've been working on isn't anywhere you can hear it - as yet. As soon as it is, I'll post a link.
