Currently Listening To: Experimental Noises

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

My experience exactly.

The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.

Me too. Quite a wearing experience after five or six tracks. Great energy though, like TSOM in the days of Adrenochrome and Sister Rayathons.

Wow, they were amazing 8)

Dark, fragile and haunting, ambient yet still very groovy.

Great noise and incredible presence on stage :notworthy:

Should support the Sisters ;)

Or maybe play some of those crazy european "dark ambient" events Izzy plays...? :innocent:

THE MERRY THOUGHTS - MILLENIUM DONE / PSYCHOCULT

Easy to dismiss as ersatz TSOM, but once I gave them a listen I found I had to play them again and again.
The lyrics obviously aren't in the same league as Eldo's they don't have the wit and the elegance of the Cole Porter of Goth
But in the absence of any new material.......

One thing that's driving me nuts: the singer sounds so much like someone else, but I just cannot place it.
