On reflection, my comment might sound like McFIFA sorted the glitch. They didn't and it still exists. It was some of the boys and girls over in Nigel-land who set up Test Teams and went through every conceivable scenario until they came up with the workaround.Johnny Rev 7.0 wrote:Yes, it can. They've ironed out the glitch.Pista wrote:Is changing the formation going to reap any benefits in terms of points at all?
Changing formation during a live round:
Thinking logically:
1. Click on Your Pitch
2. Click on Formation change
It sorta works, but it automatically takes out the right sided player from the position you are reducing. Change from a 3-4-3 to a 4-4-2 and the right sided forward is removed.
Which is how some Nigels lost Neymar(c) 28pts in R1.
Have a playaround on Your Pitch before the deadline and you'll see what I mean.
Thinking illogically:
1. Click on Your Pitch.
2. Sub the likes-for-likes (mid for mid etc.)
3. Click on the player(s) to remove*
4. Take a deep breath
5. Click on Formation change
6. An open slot(s) will appear where requested.
7. Sub in players
* Note: If making more than one positional change, i.e., switching from a 4-4-2 to a 5-4-1, you MUST click on ALL the players to be removed at the same time, BEFORE changing formation. Otherwise you'll get a hybrid of the logical/illogical.
Again, before deadline, Your Pitch is the place to practise to understand.
Hmm... what other tips can I give you guys?
1. Once you've finalised your squad, write their names down on a piece of paper against the date they play. It's not very high-tech but it works, as it helps to clarify that day's events. If you want high-tech Nigel you'll be listing them in order of kick off as you can sub/change formation between games.
2. Play your starting guys first to maximise points potential, i.e., BRA, CHI, COL and URU. It's Ok to have Messi on your bench as he doesn't play for another 3 days and you'll bring him in then.
I think that's it. If I think of anything else I'll let yous know.
Thank you. You're more than welcome. Any other questions, from anyone, just fire away.Nikolas Vitus Lagartija wrote:Thanks as ever @JohnnyRev for explaining it all to us mere mortals. You truly are a Nigel among Nigels.
