Fantasy Football - World Cup Brazil 2014

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Holy s**t, Germany's devouring Brazil :D :P

However, I forgot to adjust my squad for this round so, most likely not many points for me ...

Is this really happening?

6??

Did Brazil's defence go on strike as a protest to FIFA corruption?
Cheers.

1-7

I think the Germans did a mistake that raised the score so high against Brazil even they were obvious capable to do so :|

Indeed. And ninety-one points in one match for me. Would have been over a hundred if Oscar hadn't scored right at the end, wiping out the clean sheet bonuses.

Impressive scoring! Which puts you right back in the medal chase.

I called it totally wrong last night and ended up with a rather embarrassing 51pts, and slipped out of nose bleed territory.

But all is not lost.

Depending on team sheets, I may have 3 x ARG and 4 x NED strutting their stuff tonight. If it all goes to plan I'll be kicking out 19pts, switching the Alice band and reverting to a rather unfashionable 3-4-3.

It could work. :von:

My idea to fill my team with defenders with one as captain only seems to work in low scoring games. 7-1!!!

Back to the drawing board.

aye, i got 83. which if i hadn't put luiz in as captain and stuck with kroos would have been much better.
now... do i take muller and his 13 points out and stick messi in, or not?

Don't take out 13pts. Look elsewhere (change of formation?) to get Messi in.

And, I'm taking a punt (kicking out 7pts) that RVP is not fit to last 90, so I'll go with the Mott the Hoople boy. To come on and do a Schürrle. :)

Good call Jo.

5-4-1 was so passé. 3-4-3 is the new black.

My sentiments entirely. And I'm not convinced my Cillessen for Neuer swop will pay dividends either.
