Fantasy Football - World Cup Brazil 2014

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Comfortable 8th place finish. And indeed, I've won the work sweepstakes; £12 for Germany winning, £1.50 for a half-share of first-team-out for Australia, plus another £3 for Germany scoring the most goals. Yay!

Just quote Aussie Premier Bob Hawke's famous quote after they won the America's Cup : Any boss who sacks a worker for not turning up today is a bum. I'm sure this would stand up as a defence at a job tribunal or the European Court of Human Rights.

Is it just me or does Herr Loew bear a passing resemblance to :von: back in t' day with his square jawline and dark mop of hair ? I tried to find a pic of Loew in shades but to no avail, so looked for pics of him as a player for any tell-tale signs of gothdom. Sadly all I could find were shots of him with the kind of moustache popularised in the UK by style icon Terry from Brookside.

It certainly has been fun. Next time one of these fantasy footie things comes up (hint hint) I might be in a state of mind where I can give it a bit more of my attention.

7 Gbr emilyalone 561

I didn't see you catching up!

Can someone let me know when/if any new league starts please?

Well done everyone, 'specially Johnny.

Very inconsiderate - no wonder Sep Blatter is so unpopular. Reminds me of 1996 when UEFA scheduled Euro '96 in direct competition with the Pistols' reunion tour

You're all very kind and I thank you muchley. :notworthy:

Big shout outs to Mav787 who won the Silver for England :), and iesus winning the Bronze for Greece. :)

But none of 'this' would've happened, without you guys.

I'm quite humbled that you all made the effort.

Thank you.
