Happy 40th Birthday Big Si !

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

happy birthday to one of HL's original members, who is also one of the kindest and most generous (so fuck your jokes about tight scotsmen). have a wicked birthday Simon -hope its not too much of an age-related head-fuck. yes it's a big number but it does just get better! :notworthy: 8)

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.

"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

Happy Birthday to the BIG YIN who remains one of THE genuine HL good guys. And welcome to the 40s club from me too. :D
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

Many thanks for all the B'day wishes and apologies for the very late reply. I celebrated it along with my Brother and Brother in Law, with a week long pub crawl along Hadrians Wall from Sunday 20th until Saturday 26th. The last 3 days i've spent visiting my Mum and Dad in N. Yorkshire.

We managed to walk 63 out of the full 84 miles and I got plenty of sunburn ;D

My little brother only managed 33 miles as he had to quit after the 3rd day due to a sinus infection/extreme toothdecay and he's still on anti-biotics/painkillers a week later.

My Bro-in-Law had to be back for 1st thing Sunday morning to fly back to the Czech Republic with my elder(ly) sister ("she who most definitely must be obeyed") otherwise we'd have done the requisite 73 miles (the 1st 11 miles through Newcastles Industrial Suburbs are Pub Free  ).

As for me, my old Walking Boots fell apart on the 1st day but I had to keep going until I could get the bus to Hexham on the 3rd day and buy a new pair :urff:
