Fantasy Premier League 2014/15

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I was going to pick the shirt number of a great Scottish midfielder but I couldn't remember anyone more recent than Graeme Souness.

Plus only Suarez and Toure scored more points than Stevie last season so you can scoff but in your heart you know he's been a great player.

You can be Gerrard of 10 years ago. :P

There are a few decent Scottish midfielders - Craig Bryson being the best of the crop at present.

Let's not forget Archie Gemmil - and maybe Gordon Strachan. :)

I had to google Craig Bryson as I'd never heard of him.

Archie Gemmill was brilliant. Strachan OK, as was Gary Macca but the cupboard has been bare of late.

Bryson is top draw.

How could I forget Gary Mac? :?

It was just a tongue in cheek comment after Gerrard's unfortunate errors in the Liverpool title run in and England's Uruguay defeat. Gerrard has been a genuine Anfield legend for over a decade, and I would readily concede that Scott Brown, Robert Snodgrass etc are not of the same calibre. Ryan Gauld is a different matter, as we will hopefully see over the next few years.

I know of 2 players who were at Derby last season:

Andre Wisdom (as he was on loan from LFC)
Will Hughes - who every transfer window gets linked to a big money move to the Premier League but nothing ever comes of it.

I was supporting them against QPR in the play off final. I would much rather they had got another chance in the PL than QPR.

My Google skills are being put to the test today. I just had to look up Tricky Tree.

A reminder of the days when you could win trophies by coaching and man-management skills and not just by the size of your cheque book.

I wouldn't expect anything else from you.

In this team, I've already marked you down as our Keano.
