Best War On Drugs recording, instrumentally speaking

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Looking for the best recording of war on drugs that anyone can find to hear the bass line and guitars. It's difficult to play along to something you can't hear.

Talking about the bassline in wod is almost as discussing the vocals of phantom (although it develops in the outro)

The bass is quite prominent in Roskilde '98. When I tried writing a tab of the song, I used a 2000 recording from the London Forum for the guitars.

This one is a haze otherwise, but the clean guitar cuts through nicely: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uwy74lzX5hc

Try the 2001 Europe shows.
Pukkelpop & Arvika are pretty rich sounding & you can get the bass riff down.
Leeds 17/2/2001 also worth a go
Cheers.
