i would dearly love to see the cure live. for some reason -well a few actuually- they're one of the few bands i have never seen live that a really like. any idea how much Steve?
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

No details on prices yet, but if you look at the Numan & Idol tix, I would hazard a guess at 40-50 notes.
It won't be Kate Bush money for sure

I know a few Cure songs but want to see And Also the Trees in particular. It's been 20 years since I saw them at the Marquee between the Sisters Wembley gigs. In no way can I afford another trip to London unless fortune smiles. I hope it does!

There is a £2.50 "fulfilment fee" so the gig is guaranteed to be absolutely superb and you will leave totally fulfilled - well worth paying that little bit extra
Well you must know something

Tickets reasonable. Flights to London ok. Flights back to Ireland much too expensive as it's Christmas. Sigh. Looks like I'm missing AATT again.

the length of their shows, they should sell cure colostomy bags as merch.
Goths have feelings too
Apparently these will be shortened shows. 150 minutes according to the announcement.paint it black wrote:the length of their shows, they should sell cure colostomy bags as merch.
The band will be performing a 150 minute show
playing songs drawn from their entire 37 year old catalogue
including deep cuts, pop songs, fan favourites and surprises galore...
Reprising the role they performed at the same venue 30 years ago
each concert will also feature And Also The Trees as support
These are 'Christmas Specials' not to be missed!!!

A standard "stand alone" show would usually clock in at around 3.5 hours all in. Although they did an epic one in Mexico in 2013 that was over 4 hours.eastmidswhizzkid wrote:fuck me! thats still 2-and-a-half hrs! how long do they usually last then?Pista wrote: Apparently these will be shortened shows. 150 minutes according to the announcement.
Festival sets don't often go over 2 hours & when they do, the organisers tend to pull the plug bang on curfew time.
You get your money's worth for sure. & they do deliver a quality gig.

I went to New York to see them in 2008 & both Madison Square Garden & Radio City Music Hall were all seating.emilystrange wrote:SEATED. wtf? we're not that old.
I couldn't quite get my head round that.
Everyone stood up, but there were security people trying to get them to sit down again.
