FPL GW19: Preview, update and review (Deadline 28Dec 11:30)

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

It's getting fast and furious. It's getting mental.

Eleven Imaginary Boys 696 - 698 Industrial Groove Machine

GW18 differential: +2 The Sisters

Overall differential: +207 The Sisters.

FC Bennweg-Zeis 1921 (Johnny Rev 7.0) are sartorially attired in yellow, whilst Faith Rovers (wilgy) is shouting out big. The turnaround in GWs is so quick, I think these are our Andy Warhol moments.

It's that time of year I hate as a Nigel, but secretly love. The rest and rotation will seriously start to kick-in over the next two GWs. I promise you someone in our league will end up playing 5-aside.

Take your seat on the roller coaster that is GWs 19-20, and hang on tight.

Good luck all!

Seems lile only yesterday...oh hang on...

This getting nuts and it won't be long until a slew of transfers in January too

I was reading a piece in the news earlier where Mourinho was talking about how he enjoyed the fact the premierr league didn't stop for a winter break.
And although it's a bit hectic, it certainly is a special league. Breakneck pace and good to have that momentum unbroken.
Right. To my squad to make those reds turn blue.
:)
Cheers.

Well done to @Johnny for leading by example, to the rest of the IGM team for stopping the run of defeats, and to Fat Bob for the marathon gigs last week that let TCC take their eye off the ball.

Did you go Sunday?

Friends of mine went all 3 nights and said they couldn't get in downstairs on the Sunday as it was so packed. Mind you they might have left it quite late to leave the pub.

We went Monday and there was quite a lot of room downstairs.

Danke. Which is all I can do (at the moment), but as Mav787 mentioned in a previous GW, we're in it to win it.

Yes, "it's just a bit of fun", but if you had a choice between a gold or silver medal turning up in your post at the end of the season, which would you choose?

If you had a choice between seeing pictures of me, or Pista, lifting the trophy at the end of the season; which would you choose?

All this things will happen.

We, IGM, need to make sure the Good Things happen to us. :von:

Matches look more even and difficult to predict this round after Friday's all-round points fest. I suspect there will be more scores under fifty today but good luck everyone.

Average points = 26  no-one seems to have scored 50 this round so far. A lot of us praying for a high-scoring Liverpool v Swansea tomorrow ...

 More likely the "Alice" party dress or the "Devil" black dress I would have thought. This comment is going to look pretty weird when the mega spam attack is confined to the Trash Bin !

Your scores on the doors...

The Sisters 450 - 442 The Cure

GW19 differential: +8 The Sisters

Overall differential: +215 The Sisters

The Yellow Jersey is retained by FC Bennweg-Zeis 1921 (Johnny Rev 7.0) and the Big Shout Out award is shared by Faith Rovers (wilgy) and Meteora Heartland FC (iesus) who both posted a respectable 56pts in an otherwise low scoring GW. I salute you both. :notworthy:

Congrats to IGM for some gritty performances lower down the ranks. Every point counts. :)

Commiserations to our noisey neighbours. :von:

Now it's time to start practising your New Year Hungarian folk dances. I think it's similar to Morris dancing but they use pencils instead of sticks. :innocent:

Prophetic.

Drew 28-28 so it went to the tie-breakers: Drew 1-1 on GS but lost on GC 11-12. :(

* mumbles something about being able to concentrate on the league and exits stage left *

Thanks for the update, @Johnny. Good to see another (albeit narrow) win for the IGM. I notice that (most unusually) you didn't publicly berate the hapless Heartlander who scored the fewest points this week. I wonder why ? :innocent:

Nice to have a split BSO this week.
testament as to how close these games are getting.

As for Magyar tradition.
Don't eat anything that flies or swims on new year's day.
It signifies wealth leaving you.
Lentils are a popular meal. They represent coins apparently :D
The dancing may be more "bouncing off stuff" from all the palinka.

Well played again everyone. :notworthy:

Now heading back to the shed for some gulyas and a few transfers :D
Cheers.
