Downloaded this clip a long time ago, and never watched the whole thing, even though it's edited to 34 minutes. I still haven't. I can't

Who is the dude chopping his way through the songs on guitar? The one wearing the vest? Fcuking terrible - no really!
While I have read about a few Sisters cover bands, but sadly never heard any of them, I am left with the impression that The Sisters of Mercy is the worst The Sisters of Mercy cover band out there. Fcuking terrible really.
The end of an era - the new error?
Wait until you hear Abrimaal then...Gaijin wrote:While I have read about a few Sisters cover bands, but sadly never heard any of them, I am left with the impression that The Sisters of Mercy is the worst The Sisters of Mercy cover band out there.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.
You have this opinion only based on this vid? You should see one or two gigs from the recent tour perhaps your opinion will change. (there are a few good ones in the 2014 Tour section)

You wish, it's not the only one... I have others too. That one was the last in my playlist and had the closest shots.Joy wrote:You have this opinion only based on this vid? And I look at other contemporary artists from that time....Peter Murphy, Hussey, Nick Cave etc. They are moving on,creating, presenting songs differentely, collaborating and just generally being artists.

Don't put that vest wearing mofo down as an option or I'll boycott your poll.Being645 wrote:Oh, maybe it's time for another poll: Who's Your Favourite Sisters Guitarist? ... ...
How about a poll for worst SISTERS covers band, with only 1 option.
Andrew must so be laughing at those ppl that fork out for his shows. I see there's not even a bass player, so exactly what was he on about when he said "Enjoy the puppet show"? He was taking notes then.

A bass player were nice, though... ... a good addition to Ben and Chris. Also, a little less of the sound coming from the Doktor might give the latter an opportunity to concentrate on and elaborate his original duties ...
I was being serious. Honestly.rien wrote:Gollum's Cock wrote: I know , I know.....

Sadly, 'tis true. Six years since the last genuine new song (i.e. with original Eldritch lyric) is too long for a band which is allegedly, "always writing", "always recording" etc.Gollum's Cock wrote:I was being serious. Honestly.rien wrote:Gollum's Cock wrote: I know , I know.....

Am still hoping for some live dates in 2015, but new material (excepting covers and/or instrumentals) seems increasingly unlikely.
You should, its got Walter White in it.Gaijin wrote:Downloaded this clip a long time ago, and never watched the whole thing, even though it's edited to 34 minutes. I still haven't. I can't

I notice that his 'rank' is banned, yet he seemed to be one of the most active users on this forum. There must be a story there.
But I don't want to derail another thread again dammit!

That "vest wearing Mofo" that you're talking about is an INCREDIBLY lovely, polite, kind and amazing dude. You have no right to come onto this forum and just start slagging him off like that. So what if you don't like his bloody guitar playing? Just petty.
Rant over, sorry.

Yep, everybody's probably had their say on this. It usually comes around every tour. Last time it developed into unpleasantness hence the absence of Mr. Blast.

"Let me stop you right f**king there" - How? You going to punch me in the face. Look - I'm doing it again.
If was to say, "The vest wearer, who chopped away at his geetar while striking headbanger poses, is a lovely man. He seemed incongruent on a The Sisters of Mercy stage but came across as a serious mofo", would that be better?
