Info needed on This Corrosion- Sisterhood & College Radi

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

@Gaijin: I'm taking a wild guess that, not only have you never read the book, you don't even know its title?

To help you out, it's called: "How to Win Friends and Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. You might find it educational.

If Carl Harrison shared a version he made in 2009 how does that make it an official 1986 demo?

I can't help it that someone doesn't read what is actually written? But, I try to be patient and write slower, assuming they can't read fast.

I sense a bit of a pack mentality in your remarks chaps. I didn't start with the sarcasm you may note, though probably haven't. You all know each other, have likely met at a show, or a pub and want to be friends. Why assume the same of me. I am a misanthrope most days, on full moon I'm something else.

@markfiend: I'm always interested when people bring up the weed smoking thing - they seem to get embarrassed when I ask how good it is, where it comes from, how much it costs for a certain quantity etc. Do tell... One can purchase it in black garbage bags here.

I'm sorry but where on earth did this claim come from anyway? I did read what was actually written, and the whole "it's a Carl Harrison mashup" thing was started by you on the previous page, nobody else is making that claim, and you seem to be making that claim based on no evidence whatsoever.

There's no reason whatsoever to doubt that the 8:51 version is genuine aside from your own claims that it's not.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

He posted it in Dec 2006.

And after re-reading the thread and relistening to the audio I'm certain it's not a mashup. In fact it's quite clear if you read the thread. "Rough studio demo recorded in Hull" is how it's described. (And by the way, the one on youtube has had the end faded, the original ends rather abruptly a few seconds later.)

In other searches I also found a 6:28 fan mix as well as the 9:59.

You lot are mildly amusing

I've already quoted this, perhaps 3 times will be the charm.

2006/2009 no matter, both are still a long way from 1986.

Indeed.

I didn't claim this track was a mashup. PiB did.

In my 'Vision Thing (Remix)' thread I was told that if anyone would know the answer to diffucult questions, PiB would be the one. Now when PiB gives a definitive answer it's ignored... And because I accept it I'm to blame?

Dan was the one being offensive in his posts, with his 'pay attention' and head to desk jibes. These were after the PiB post, and after I had quoted it. D'oh

If that's not obtuse then what is? You do know what it means don't you? If that is not the correct use of the word, in the right circumstances, then the word will never get used. Then others start with their digs, why? To what purpose? Perhaps English isn't their first language after all. Calling someone obtuse isn't the same as calling someone a nasty name, like saying you are an a--hole. But if they don't know what the word means they take offense because they think they've been called a name. That's ignorance. If someone is obtuse, they're obtuse. Don't blame me.

As far as this matter is concerned I had my answer on the 1st page, but everyone just had to come back for another poke. I tried to brush off the attacks with some humour too but it seems my good-natured humour has been misinterpreted as being obsequious.

I won't be bullied.

Dan is still posting that the Carl Harrison mashup is an original version. mh is posting that I claimed it was mashed after iterating that it's clear he read the posts.

What a joke.
