I came across a thread here somewhere which discusses this cassette, and was delighted to discover that the TC versions have been put up on Youtube. They are quite hissy but serviceable enough to realise two things:
The shorter of the two is available on a CD I already have (actually it's just an edit of the 7"). The longer mix can be made at home.
What I cannot locate is the, apparently different, version of Torch that is on this cassette. Is it indeed different?

So it is different.
It's quite frustrating to own 3x7", the 12" and the CDS, and not have the one format that has this unique variant.
It's described as missing some of the bass notes over the outro. Might you share a clip of the outro to satisfy my curiosity please?

I sometimes wonder about these "multiple" versions & often think that
a) The masters are transferred via different technology adding "colour" of their own.
b) The different formats allow for slightly different track times due to what is detected by the copying media
I'll fire up the Denon tomorrow & see if Torch is really actually different.

I have heard the version in question now and there seems to be no differences when compared to the versions on MR39CD and the 2006 Floodland re-issue.

The two This Corrosions are definitely different.
Torch (and Colours)? I'm not so sure. I have two different cassettes of This Corrosion (US and EU) and I always wonder if they've been dubbed incorrectly? If you compare Torch from the tape back to back with the CDS, the mix appears the same but the pitch of the CS is noticeably higher than the CDS. I thought my deck was playing up but the issue isn't exhibited on other cassettes or indeed my own home-made tapes.
A weird one.
It would interesting to throw Torch from the Floodland cassette into this mix...
I've got them all transferred (at 24/96 no less ), so I suppose I could upload some 30 second snippets and people can see if the difference is heard on their copies too?

I found that the copy I have runs fast, that might explain the pitch issue.
It could be intentional, given the target market for such an item. The cassette was likely aimed at teenagers with boomboxes and Walkman's after all.
