Yorkshire St Pauli

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Yorkshire St Pauli are a St Pauli fan-club based in Leeds.

They meet up in the centre of town to watch the games, they also do a lot stuff with the refugee and asylum seeker communities in Leeds to make football accessible for them, including organising local matches, providing them with pitch hire, kits and even transport to and from games.

They're an awesome bunch and are entirely volunteer-run, and funded by membership funds, donations and local business contributors.

They recently 'starred' in a BBC Sport feature about them and their work in the community:

I'm incredibly proud to be able to say that I have designed their new logo - a mash up of the official St Pauli club badge and the white rose of Yorkshire.

If you're a footy fan, a St Pauli fan (they don't have to be the same thing), or just a fan of equality and inclusivity, give them a shout out and drop them a few quid by becoming a member or by buying something from their shop.

Done and shared on FB.

Unfortunately they play on a Sunday at midday, so I'll have to juggle my social calendar to fit.
