Here we go again...
In GW32 IGM gave EIB a good kicking at The Stadium of [s]Faff[/s] Faith (+58 ) to increase their overall lead to 527pts. Is the writing on the wall? Is Pista ready to wave his white flag? Are all players in EIB already looking at booking end of season golfing holidays in Dubai?
Due to the FA Cup semi-finals this GW, the FPL fixture list is reduced to seven matches instead of its usual ten. ARS, AVL, HUL, LIV, QPR & SUN all have a blank GW. The dilemma as always is; do I take the hits to field 11, or become a Rider on the Storm?
Especially when we know DGW34 and DGW37 are waiting in the wings. The FPL Siren's call is alluring, but are they wanting to keep us safe and in deep waters? Or bring us crashing onto the rocks? It's an individual choice. Nick Cave once told me that.
As we enter the final straight, I've had a look at the individual placings for the first time this season:
1. FC Bennweg-Zeis 1921 (Johnny Rev7.0) are top of the pile with a lead of 69pts. Whilst the Yellow Jersey has become a staple part of their satorial elegance in recent weeks, they're not counting their chickens just yet.
2. Spiritwalkers (Mav787) have been hovering around the top placings all season and are having an Almighty battle with...
3. Charlotte's Carnage (GOD). There's only 11pts between them.
(Author's reference note: Both the Head Coach and the Assistant Head Coach of the Industrial Groove Machine occupy the top two places.)
Actually, the more I look at the table, the more I'm not prepared to call anything. This is a funny old game, and there's still six GWs to go, so anything can happen. Someone will go on a run and shoot up the table. Hopefully it won't effect me.
Good luck all!

Best check my passport expiry dates eh?
Been watching the press conferences today & that famous Dutch artist Louis Van Gaal looks like he's going to have a tricky one.

But seriously, I do have a new Dutch girl (football fan) working with me. She's fluent in Dutch, German and English... and she has been monitoring LVG's feeds over the past few weeks, especially after your recent GW press conference infatuation with him.
Anika wrote:I find it quite embarassing being Dutch myself. I know he was at Bayern and German grammar/cases are very strange to learn. But, his English starts so well and then just goes weird. He's a mangelist (new word!) He just thinks in three different languages, translates it into English and speaks. Without thinking. It's very weird.
Oh, the LVG artist link you just sent me. Are English people really that insular? x

He was a bit disappointing today. I think he had it all written down this week.
Usually he's more bizarre than the spacial one.

It probably won't be me. I'm having a nightmare at the bottom end...Johnny Rev 7.0 wrote:Actually, the more I look at the table, the more I'm not prepared to call anything. Will be delighted to have XI on the pitch this weekend. Was not keen to dump the Scousers with two easyish away games next GW.

Only 10 possible starters here and that was with a -4. Hopefully I've taken the right punts and called the Alice band correctly.

Some interesting Alice band choices amongst the 22 of us this GW:
7 - Aguero
4 - Kane
3 - Hazard
2 - Rooney
1 - Bolasie, Fabianski , Jagielka, Murray, Vardy.
But my favourite:
1 - Coutinho (with Henderson vc). Maybe the memo didn't get through Pista?

Glanced at that this morning & nearly inhaled very hot coffee.
The interviewer really didn't know what to do did he?

a cracking GW if i say so myself. 12 for an alice-banded Aguero, a 9 and a 6 for eriksen and kane respectively, a 6 and a 5 for terry and ivanowicz and 11 (count 'em) for heaton in goal.
next week i've got 7 out of my first 11 playing double game-weeks. lovin' it.

Having a bit of a lame one this week. Even with Sergio actually scoring.

Some really impressive scoring all round this week considering the relatively small number of fixtures and goals around. Double Game Week is looking very interesting ...

That's what it was.
At least you didn't mess my hair up on the way over
I seem to have taken a Palace-like stance & fixed myself in the same spot for what seems like forever.

Whereas, I seem to be Leicester (or hopefully, West Brom).Pista wrote:That's what it was.

(I actually went up a place in my work league this week from, (essentially) bottom, to 4th).

In the interests of not gloating, and trying to protect the postive camaraderie we have between HL and TCC, I didn't say anything yesterday.
Instead, I took the IGM Lear-jet from Frankfurt to Budapest. Then jumped into a Limo for an hour which took me up to his gaff. He really does live in a shed.
Not wishing to wake him from his nocturnal slumbers I spray-painted the results on his shed. The writings on the walls...
For the rest of yous:
GW33: The Sisters 523 - 485 The Cure (+38)
OR: The Sisters 17688 - 17123 The Cure (+565)
Yellow Tent: FC Bennweg-Zeis 1921 (Johnny Rev 7.0)
Big Shout Out: Faith Rovers (Wilgy) - 61pts
Once again, not wanting to appear ostentatious - I did see his worn pencil stub through a crack in this cracked venetian blinds - I've dispensed with the YJ and BSO images for this GW.
Dunno what I'm trying to say other than the poor, shed people are always in my heart.

I was planning to paint the shed before this weekend too.
Now I have settled on a colour.
DGW coming up, so time to pull something out of the fire
Well played & see y'all next weekend.

I thought that I'd f**ked up, but even with only 10 men playing this week, I got the most points in my works league. Yay!

referring back to the locked thread on TCC - I am quite happy to wear an evening dress as long as it's black.
I'm sure some of you have seen me in a frock before!
You lads - you must wear them too. I'll lend you my latex skirts.
