I like that picture / photo session very much. The smaller one inside the Cassette box is also great.

Does anyone have scans of either without the darned folds?

But according to the official gigography the Sisters did not play on 22/12/82. Another of the unknown gigs ? And looking at the picture the location is Killburn ?

The link is for Bruno for the exact location.
There a small announcement for the gig in the 4.12.82 "Sounds magazine" .

To be announced = The Cocteau Twins
:D . Had I checked what day of the week 22nd December was, I could have not spent hours of my life pondering this mystery ! Thanks @spiggymr7 for the correction, and to @Being for the original link. So another piece of the 1982 jigsaw (or "gigsaw" - I'll get my coat) nears completion. :notworthy:

So this is one night before the return to the Klub Foot, meaning two back to back gigs in t'smoke. Makes sense I suppose - more chances to impress A and R men and media types unwilling to make the long chug the full length of the M1.

Fantastic ! What an amazing gig that must have been. ToH and Cocteau Twins were both massively hyped by the London music press so there should have been a big crowd at the Kilburn National. Most people into indie music in the early 80s can probably remember the first time they heard Wax and Wane or Legion for the first time on Peel. Thanks again, @Spiggymr7. :notworthy:

I happened to be in the same record shop as one of Skrewdriver (if it's the same nasty right-wing lot) recently and even though I didn't know who he was my hackles were raised. Could be doing them a disservice of course. Maybe they've changed and become cuddly as the years have passed.

First bid is in on that poster... Really a nice item for those who understand the history...

Here's a large one with Merciful Release Logo, golden print on black background ... looks quite cool, IMHO, and it comes at a friendly price ... ...

Congrats to Taylor, but if that is a genuine one there was two different posters promoting that gig...

Sorry but I don't have one. There used to be a record store in Stockholm called Little Shop of Records in the nineties, the owner had the poster on the wall. I tried to buy it from him several times but he refused to sell it. It was the head and star logo with white text on dark blue.

It is also on the website about Electric Garden
http://sisterswiki.org/Wed,_26-Oct-1983
https://electricgardenstory.wordpress.c ... 28/831026/

and apparently it was also used to announce the gig in the press ...
https://electricgardenstory.files.wordp ... 026-a2.jpg

Of course, it could all be fake in the times of PhotoShop. But it looks quite convincing ... ...

@xfloorshowx
Oh my, that sounds so very interesting. Damned you didn't take a photo of it at least ... but hell ... maybe it will turn up somewhere someday.

Easy to tell the difference between the real deal and the bootleg. Real deal is a handmade screenprint while the bootleg is not...
